Could a North West-and-Balenciaga Collaboration Be on the Horizon?

Just sitting here manifesting a North West-and-Balenciaga collaboration.

As the Balenciaga craze continues to take over Paris (and the world), Kim Kardashian shared a cryptic Instagram Story that is making us think her stylish daughter will be following in her footsteps sooner than expected.

After walking the runway for the fashion house Wednesday, Kardashian posted a photo of a black hoodie with the words "NORTH BALENCIAGA" emblazoned in white on the front.

Nine-year-old North sat front row at the Balenciaga couture show this week and coordinated looks from the brand with grandmother Kris Jenner. The momager wore a silky black cape dress with a mock turtleneck and matching Balenciaga sunglasses, while North looked cool in a faded black long-sleeved graphic T-shirt, dark ripped jeans with white and red stripes on the sides, and massive black-and-silver platform shoes from the Balenciaga x Crocs collaboration. She accessorized with two beaded necklaces and black Balenciaga sunglasses.

And that wasn't her only look of the week. North has been leading Paris Fashion Week street style over the past several days. On Tuesday, she paid homage to dad Kanye West by stepping out in an oversized bright blue varsity jacket pulled from the archives of Pastelle—Ye's now defunct streetwear line from the 2000s—which the rapper wore at the 2008 American Music Awards. She paired the statement piece with black trousers, Balenciaga's chunky Crocs, a mini handbag, and matching blue shades.

Later in the day, North swapped her rare outerwear for a slouchy, bedazzled black denim jacket. She completed the ensemble with an embellished Balenciaga tee and black shades.

So, a Balenciaga collab doesn't seem so farfetched now, does it?

The next day—already getting better runway show seats than the rest of us—North matched her famous mom's ensemble while sitting front row at the Jean Paul Gaultier show. While the SKIMS mogul opted for a body-hugging pinstriped dress with nude-colored breast panels, North put a punk twist on French-girl cool, wearing a pinstriped vest over a white collared button-up, a matching pinstriped skirt and beret, and a black tie. She completed the look with knee-high combat boots and black oval sunglasses. Both she and Kardashian also wore identical silver nose chains.

Kardashian has previously spoken of her eldest daughter's talent for styling herself and passion for makeup. She even admitted in an interview that North handpicked her siblings' outfits for a magazine photo shoot after deciding their preassigned looks were too boring.

As Kardashian is already a Balenciaga ambassador—and model, apparently—only time will tell if creative director Demna will nudge North to be his next muse.
